About Our Zoom Speakers

Matthias Becer - Germany

Matthias Becer, born in 1982 in an Assyrian village and forced to flee to Germany at age four, is an educator with a diverse background in electrical engineering, education, theology, and computer science. He has been teaching since 2008, is married with five children, and is fluent in German, English, and Aramaic.

His lecture dives into the history and current situation of the Assyrian people. He highlights their significant historical contributions: living in the Middle East for millennia, founding humanity's first world empire, developing an ancient language (Aramaic, the first world language) and a writing system, and being among the first to adopt Christianity, establishing a global church by the 14th century.

Becer points out that the conditions for establishing an Assyrian state were in place after World War I, especially after they fought alongside the Allied Powers and were promised their own state by Russia, Britain, and France. However, despite these efforts and having endured the first genocide of the 20th century, there is currently no Assyrian state on the political map. The lecture explores the reasons behind this situation and the profound consequences for the Assyrian people.

Ron Susek - USA

Ron Susek is a distinguished ministry leader, senior pastor, best-selling Christian author, and the founder and president of the Susek Evangelistic Association (SEA), established in 1968. Over five decades, he has served as a crusade evangelist and a television and radio Bible teacher.

His international work includes developing a comprehensive $1.2 billion master plan for cultural transformation in Micronesia, leading a summit of 1200 religious and political leaders, and consulting in Liberia to aid in national rebuilding after civil war. Ron is known for his passion for strengthening the body of Christ, carrying out the Great Commission, and his ability to simplify complex scriptural truths for a broad audience. He is also recognised as a strategic "big picture" leader, adept at developing and implementing plans for spiritual growth and evangelism.

As an author, Ron has published eight books, including "Firestorm: Preventing and Overcoming Church Conflicts", "Discovering the Real You", and his latest work, "The Assyrian Prophecy", which is connected to his worldwide media outreach, "FaithWalk". He holds a degree in biblical studies and two honorary doctorates and is the chairman of International Outreach for Pedrone College. Dr. Susek's prediction, based on Isaiah 19:23-25, suggests that Assyria is ready to re-emerge as a significant nation, alongside the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Key points include: Biblical Prophecy: Dr Susek bases his prediction on Isaiah 19:23-25, which speaks of a "highway from Egypt to Assyria" and describes Egypt, Assyria, and Israel as a blessing to the world.

Historical Context: Assyria was historically a powerful empire, known for its advancements, which later followed Jesus Christ and spread the Gospel before being suppressed by Islam. Future Role: Susek believes Assyria will re-emerge as a sovereign state, becoming one of Israel's strongest allies. Its re-establishment is considered crucial for ending suffering, protecting human rights, and assuming a unique spiritual role alongside Israel and Egypt that will bless all nations.
